KRISTINE HERMOSA is Anne Kirsten Esmeralde Hermosa Orille in real life. Kristine was born on September 9, 1983 in Quezon City, Philipines. Kristine Hermosa is mix Filipina and Spanish being her father a Filipino and her mother a Spanish mestiza.
Kristine took her elementary education in Querino Elementary School and St. Anthony' School. Since their fail moved to Laguna, Kristine then enrolled in Colegion de San Pedro and she stayed there until first year high school. She fininshed her secondary education at Liberty High School and in Robertstown Universty for her Associate Degree in Arts.
Kristine's showbiz career started when she accompanied her elder sister in the latter's audition in ABS-CBN. Unfortunately, her sister didn't get the nod of the judges but luckily for Kristine, she caught the attention of the judges even though she is only in the sidelines and asked her to participate in the audition. Kristine hesitated at first but due to her beauty and talent, she passed the audition and signed as the newest Star Circle contract artist.
Kristine was given her first assignment in TV as a segment host in "Teysi NG Tahanan" in 1991 then as mainstay in "Ang TV" and "Gimik". She also appeared in "Sa Sandaling Kailangan Mo Ako", "Richard Loves Lucy", "Star Drama Presents" and "Ang Munting Paraiso".
Kristine's biggest break was "Pangako Sa 'Yo" opposite < b>Jericho Rosales. The show became number one in TV ratings in its timeslot for a couple of months. It was a heavy drama series that showcased the acting talent of Kristine and also the birth of Kristine - Jericho love team. It was followed by "Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas" also a top rater.
It was followd by another top-rater Tv hits "'till Death Do Us Part" and "Gulong Ng Palad". Kristine's career took a slump when she married Diether Ocampo. She was not given a big project in her mother studio since her popularity was affected with her marriage.
After her marriage broke-up, she became active in Tv again and she was given an afternoon soap in ABS-CBN "Prinsesa Ng Banyera" which again brought Kristine to the numebr one sopt in the TV charts. But after that series, Kristine was again sidelined and given only guestings in different shows. It even made Kristine decide to jump ship to GMA-7 but was prvented by the Kapamilya network and promised to eb given more shows.
Kristine Hermosa then headlined "Komiks Present: Mars Ravelo's Nasaan Ka Maruja" which is making waves every Saturday. In the later part of 2009, Kristine is scheduled to do "Dahil May Isang Ikaw" which is a reunion of the Kristine - Jericho tandem.
Kristine's notable movies are "Ang TV: The Movie", "Minsan, Minahal Kita", "Hostage", "Trip", "Forevermore", "Ngayong Nandito Ka", "All My Life", "Bcuz of You", the four installments of "Enteng Kabisote", "Wag Kang Lilingon", "My Big Love" and later in 2009 "Elementa".
